About Me

I have been a massage therapist since 2000.  The modalities I am trained to do include Swedish, Neuromuscular Therapy, Repetitive Use Injury, and Dr. Vodder's Manual Lymph Drainage. My goal as a therapist is to use all my tools to give my clients the best care.

In 2011 I was diagnosed with head and neck cancer. I fought hard with receiving all my treatment and I was fortunate to have a great support system.  When you are fighting for the ability to keep living you take a good look at your life.  I felt I was working to much and not enjoying life enough so I decided to give up my massage business. That did not last long because I found a modality that really hit home with me, Manual Lymph Drainage(MLD). MLD is used to help cancer survivors who had unfortunately got lymphedema from their cancer treatment. I thought this was my calling, to help people living with the side effects of cancer. Once I learned this modality I found out it helps with so much more. Please look on the Manual Lymph Drainage page (under more) to see conditions this helps with.  This is a very powerful treatment and now I am able to help people with many things.

I chose to learn the Dr. Vodder Method of Manual Lymph Drainage because Dr. Vodder developed MLD in the 1930's. I went through 160 hours of training to learn this method. The Dr. Vodder method is the only one that requires you to get checked every 2 years to make sure you are doing it correctly.
